Responsibilities:
Geographically reporting to the Shanghai Managing Director and functionally reporting to the VP-Finance of Asia Group and working closely with the Hong Kong Finance Director, the candidate is required to:
- To set up comprehensive policies and procedures and internal control systems based on Headquarters’ framework and oversee the financial management of the company’s new Shanghai operation;
- Ensure company returns are prepared and filed in accordance with relevant government regulations – Need to work closely with the external contracted consultant (the “Company Secretary”);
- Prepare and submit year-end accounts within the required time-frame (90 days after year-end) – Need to coordinate with the PRC registered accountant
- Prepare and submit tax returns within the required time frame – VAT, custom duties, consumption tax, corporate income tax, business tax, and other location taxes;
- Report the company foreign exchange matters in accordance with the applicable laws;
- Prepare financial analysis for senior management from time to time.
Requirements:
- An accounting degree (in PRC) holder with 6-7 year working experience
- Well versed in spoken and written English (Grade 6) and knowledge of Cantonese would be an advantage
- Experience in e-commerce and/or on-line retailing business, preferably with foreign/multi-national corporation exposure
- Experience in computerized accounting system, knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
- A self-starter with good problem-solving skills. Must be pro-active, flexible and teamwork-oriented
- Strong in inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels, both in China and overseas Headquarters/offices
- Good PC skill in Excel and Word
